Many of the News Director profiles, Station profiles, names, and publicly available profile photos on RateMyStation are submitted by users, or are based on publicly available information, to help identify the workplace or individual being reviewed. RateMyStation does not create profiles at random, and requires admin approval before a profile is published to the platform.
Why Is My Name or Photo on RateMyStation?
If your name or photo appears on RateMyStation, it’s generally because:
• A user submitted a review that included your name or your Station.
• A profile was created so employees could review a workplace or News Director.
• Publicly available information was used to help identify the correct person or organization.
Our goal is to help media professionals identify the correct newsroom or News Director when sharing workplace experiences.
Does RateMyStation Verify Information?
Absolutely!
We make reasonable efforts to review and verify information submitted to our platform whenever possible. However, because RateMyStation relies on user-generated content, mistakes can occasionally happen.
If you notice inaccurate information, we encourage you to let us know so our team can review it.
What If My Information Is Incorrect?
If your profile contains incorrect information, please contact our team with:
1. A link to the profile
2. A description of the incorrect information
3. The correct information, if applicable
4. Any supporting documentation that helps verify the correction
We’ll review your request, and make updates when appropriate.
Can I Request That My Photo Be Removed?
If you believe your profile photo was used incorrectly, or should be reviewed, please contact our management team. Each request is evaluated individually based on the circumstances and our platform policies.
