Contact usNo. RateMyStation does not display your name, email address, or other personal information alongside your reviews. All employee reviews are published with 100% anonymity. We do this to help current and former media professionals share honest workplace experiences, without fear of retribution.
Whether you have a free Employee account, or a paid subscription, your review is never published under your name.
Yes.
Every single review submitted on RateMyStation is posted anonymously, and will remain that way forever. Your Station, News Director, coworkers, and other visitors cannot see your personal account information simply by viewing your review.
Creating an Employee account allows you to manage your reviews, edit or delete past submissions, and access your My Ratings section, but your account information will never be displayed with your published reviews.

While reviews are 100% anonymous, it’s possible that someone could guess who wrote a review if it contains highly specific or personally identifying details.
For example, avoid including information such as:
• Your name
• Your personal email address
• Specific dates that identify you
• Private conversations
• Unique events that only involved a small number of people
• Other details that could reveal your identity
The more specific your review is about identifiable events, the easier it may be for someone to infer who wrote it.
To help keep your review anonymous, we recommend:
• Focusing on your overall workplace experience.
• Avoiding personal identifiers.
• Describing situations without including unnecessary identifying details.
• Sharing honest, factual experiences in a professional manner.
If our moderation team determines that a review contains information that could identify you or another individual, it may be removed or require revision to help protect everyone’s privacy.
Many journalists and media professionals worry about retaliation or professional consequences when sharing honest workplace feedback.
Anonymous reviews help employees discuss workplace culture, management, leadership, compensation, and newsroom experiences more openly while encouraging constructive feedback that can benefit both employees and media organizations.
Protecting user privacy is one of RateMyStation’s highest priorities.
While no online platform can guarantee that another person won’t speculate about who wrote a review based on its content, RateMyStation will never publicly reveal the identity of reviewers, and we encourage everyone to avoid including information that could identify themselves or others.
