Will RateMyStation Remove a Review I Report as Defamation?

If you believe a review contains false statements, defamatory content, or otherwise violates our Community Guidelines or Terms and Conditions, you can report it for review.

Every reported review is evaluated individually by our moderation team. Reporting a review does not automatically result in its removal. Instead, we carefully review the reported content to determine whether it violates our policies or requires further action.  

How Do I Report a Review?

If you believe a review should be removed:

          1. Locate the review.
          2. Click the “Report” flag beneath it.
          3. Wait for our moderation team to investigate

Our moderation team will investigate the report typically within 48 hours as part of our review process.

What Happens After I Submit a Report?

Once a review has been reported, our team evaluates the content based on our Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions.

During our review, we may consider factors such as:

          • Whether the content appears to violate our Community Guidelines
          • Whether it contains harassment, threats, or abusive language
          • Whether it includes personally identifying information
          • Whether it appears to be spam, duplicate content, or otherwise violates our policies
          • Any additional information submitted with a report

Each report is reviewed individually, and every situation is evaluated on its own merits.

Will Every Review That's Been Reported Be Removed?

No.

Submitting a report does not automatically mean a review will be removed.

RateMyStation exists to provide media professionals with a place to share honest workplace experiences. Reviews are not removed simply because they are negative or because someone disagrees with them.

However, if our moderation team determines that a review violates our Community Guidelines or Terms and Conditions, appropriate action may be taken, including removing or modifying the content.  

What If I Still Believe the Review Is Incorrect?

If you believe additional information would help us evaluate your report, you may contact our support team.

In your email, please include:

          1. A link to the review
          2. A detailed explanation of your concern
          3. Any supporting documentation or information that may help us review the report
