Because reviews are submitted by individual users, RateMyStation does not write or endorse those reviews. We also have Community Guidelines and moderation processes designed to help reduce content that violates our policies.
If you believe a review contains false information, defamation, or otherwise violates our Community Guidelines, you should report it so our team can investigate.
What If I Believe a Review Is Defamatory?
If you believe a review is false, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate, please contact our support team and include:
1. A link (URL) to the review
2. An explanation of why you believe the content is inaccurate or violates our policies
3. Any supporting information or documentation that may help us evaluate your request
Our team reviews every report individually, and will determine whether the content violates our Community Guidelines or other applicable policies.
Does RateMyStation Remove Defamatory Content?
Yes.
If, after review, we determine that content violates our Community Guidelines or applicable laws, we may remove or modify the content as appropriate.
Not every negative review is defamatory. Employees are permitted to share honest opinions and firsthand workplace experiences, provided those reviews comply with our policies and applicable law.
Does RateMyStation Write Employee Reviews?
No.
Employee reviews published on RateMyStation are submitted by individual users. RateMyStation does not create, edit, or publish reviews on behalf of employees.
Our role is to provide a platform where media professionals can share workplace experiences, while maintaining policies intended to encourage respectful, lawful, and constructive discussions.
Why Does RateMyStation Allow Anonymous Reviews?
Anonymous ratings and reviews encourage employees to share honest workplace experiences without fear of retaliation.
At the same time, RateMyStation has reporting and moderation processes in place to help maintain the integrity of the platform, and investigate content that may violate our policies.

Important note: The law protects RateMyStation from legal responsibility for any content submitted by our users, including the ratings and comments that appear on our website. The Communications Decency Act of 1996 (47 U.S.C. Sec. 230) provides federal immunity to online platforms, such as RateMyStation, from civil liability, based on 3rd-party content provided by our users, and from editing or removing content in certain circumstances.
