Fantastic. Very nice guy who has years of anchor experience.
I highly recommend WJBF for your first market. It has given me everything I hoped for and more. This job has prepared me for long term success, and it’s going to be tough to say goodbye to one day. Starting pay is competitive and we are not understaffed. You will have great opportunities and I will not be overworked or taken advantage of.

Good news director. No problems with him
Good place to start. It has it days like most regular jobs. People talk about each other too much like they in highschool. Too many fakes to be honest. Only person you can trust is yourself

It's been an interesting experience. Working here has definitely stretched me in terms of personal growth and professional development. I've learned to find validation in my work and not necessarily validation or approval from my managers. My news director is very passive aggressive when it comes to confronting employees about what they need to improve on or when they make a mistake which makes it very difficult to correct the problem.
An Overall Toxic Work Environment
A lot of the people here have been here for years and are just accustomed to an old way of doing things so whenever someone new comes in with new ideas it's always a power struggle and people aren't as open to change as you would expect. A lot of office politics and gossip.
Producers and News Directors aren't good at communicating expectations for the day in terms of what they want you to do or expect from you. There's a lot of favoritism and hand holding with older employees versus new employees.
