Dave Ciliberti
Berated, retaliated against for medical issues, have never experienced this level of arrogance and disrespect in a professional environment.
An Overall Toxic Work Environment
Competition matters most here. Couldn’t trust coworkers. ND wants to beat other stations always. Many times, we will be the only station to do a liveshot at a location. Have to convince them it’s unsafe, then get a mouthful and retaliated against for it. Newbies, don’t expect a steady schedule for at least a year. As for big things, this is a station with great branding that is trusted by viewers and gets the job done. Low pay for the market. Overall, not the worst. Not the best. They play favorites, just do your best to be one of them I guess.
Always check on a station retention rate, especially at a station that has a sunny amazing climate and is a top 15 market. If it has all that to offer and most people don’t stay, it may be worth inquiring as to why that is.

Racial Discrimination, An Overall Toxic Work Environment
Work at any station in Tampa, just not this one. Station does not operate like a top 15 station. Employees are overworked in this toxic work environment. Management plays favorites. If you're not one, your experience will be miserable, especially if you're a minority. Tenured employees are insufferable and bully newer employees. Storytelling and proper photojournalism are not valued.

David Ciliberti
A horrendous news director and downright vicious human being.
An Overall Toxic Work Environment
The WFLA-TV newsroom is vitriolic and incredibly toxic. Overall, it's a terrible place.
Those wishing to work at WFLA-TV should consult with former or current staffers before joining. The station's current news director, David Ciliberti, is a horrible person and lousy manager. He cannot and should never be trusted. Many people have left under his atrocious leadership.

Worst experience of my career
An Overall Toxic Work Environment
Get called to HR on the regular for petty issues...was told I was useless to the station last week after representing the entire company (Nexstar) at the Winter Olympics.
Not a good place.
