Sexual Discrimination, Racial Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, An Overall Toxic Work Environment

I have not first hand experienced sexual harassment. However, interns shadowing me have brought it to my attention. Corporate HR did not do anything about it. Local 4 had a mix bag of racists, sexiest and functioning alcoholics. It’s a very bad place to be if you want to have a life balance outside of work, and just overall terrible if you want to improve in the industry. The chief photographer is Islamaphobic.

Only come here as a conduit from Lansing or Flint to come to a bigger market after Detroit. None of the stations in town are desirable to work at. WXYZ is owner by Scripps, the CBS O&O is still new and working off the rust while Fox 2 has a new ND, Laura, who is very rude and doesn’t know much about reporting or news gathering.

This station has had a turn over of people over the last year. The new reporters, anchors and weather forecasters all seem to be winners from the amateur hour. I am just waiting for the station to get rid of the one good anchor they have. When he goes it won’t be because he is a bad anchor it will be because of his color.
