The North Bend Eagle is the newspaper for North Bend and Morse Bluff, Nebraska. The Eagle was founded in 1897 by J.C. Newsom. The Eagle is owned and operated by Nathan Arneal, who also serves as editor. Supporting the news is reporter Jason Futch, who comes to the Eagle with a background in journalism in Florida.

1989-Cramer Award
In 1989, under the direction of publisher Lois Lambley, the Eagle won the Cramer Award as the state's best weekly newspaper in the Nebraska Press Association's annual contest.
2007-Second Overall-Class A Newspaper
The Eagle picked up 18 individual awards at the 2007 Nebraska Press Association's Better Newspaper Contest. The Eagle was second overall among Class A weekly newspapers, the smallest circulation classification. Among the big winners was the Eagle's June 21 issue commemorating North Bend's 150th birthday, which picked up five awards itself. Awards won include:

2008-Nebraska Press Assoc Education Advocate Award
At its annual convention on April 26, 2008, the Nebraska State Education Association named the North Bend Eagle the winner of its Education Advocate Award for its outstanding coverage of the local school system.
At the 2008 Nebraska Press Association awards banquet in April, the Eagle garnered a total of 15 awards in the NPA's Better Newspaper Contest, including first place in four categories. Included in its awards, the Eagle won two of the top three spots in the advertising campaign category, the second consecutive year it has done so. Overall, the Eagle place third in its classification, Class B, and won third place in the general excellence category. Awards won include:
