Tiffany Logan
She was new to the role when I worked with her. She did her very best. Tiffany gives guidance however she can.
It's not quite your college studio...
You are centered in Scottsbluff, Nebraska in an old bank building with the bank vault still there.
This is is starter market 195. It is a market where you have little to no leadership physically there, but tons of opportunity to grow and learn for yourself.
You don't move to Nebraska's panhandle without understanding the cost of living and the poor pay.
If the pay is so bad, why would you want to work here?
The answer is simple. You have the control over your show and your content.
I was the 6 and 10pm anchor, producer and reporter. This meant a lot of hours spent gathering vosots, creating pkgs, producing and anchoring my own show. This is a very stressful position to be in, but the payoff is amazing and I highly recommend working here, if you can handle $10.30 - $11.00/hr pay.
The station typically only has 3-4 people working there. The midday anchor/mmj/producer, a wonderful long-time sports director and a 6 and 10 pm, anchor/mmj/producer. Occasionally, you may see the ND in person, but count on them staying in Cheyenne, WY. They are a video call away!
You deal with a unique set up at KNEP as you share with Cheyenne, North Platte, Grand Island/Hastings, and Lincoln.
Your master control is 8 hours away in Lincoln, NE.
Communication is truly key.
The payoff? The job is literally what you make it.
Expect to use an outdated version of Avid and iNews.
The gear is lightweight and easy to use.
You will be given a key, branded jacket and a few SD cards on your first day.
The station does have a turnover rate.
That's as there is only 2 people who leave after their contracts are over. The sports director stays there and the people love him! He is also very helpful in your learning progress at KNEP.
