The previous review is pretty accurate. Nd JUDY SLATE is a mentally abusive person and a bully. She will humiliate you during morning meetings and ask you questions she knows you most likely don't know or remember the answer to. This will happen even if she knows you have a learning disability. On top of that, she would bang her fist on the table and mention the "experience" and things she has "done" during her "career."
Racial Discrimination, An Overall Toxic Work Environment
If there is a breaking news incident playing on the newsroom TVs, she would mention that the suspect is "white." If you're a favorite, JUDY SLATE will allow you to talk to her during her work hours even if you are off the clock. If a favorite of hers is in her office, she will often review the script with them and talk about it with them. You will also spend most of your time in a cubicle working with others who will most likely not help if you are not part of their clique. STAY AWAY!
Worst newsroom I have ever worked for!!
Completely toxic, could not trust anyone!
Never in a million years!

Judy Slate
Awful. ND Judy is an abusive narcissist. Not even great pay was worth the shit she put her people through.
Racial Discrimination, An Overall Toxic Work Environment
Disability discrimination, lots of inappropriate race-based language from leaders, like calling everything under the sun “ghetto” and “ratchet”, pure ignorance and willingness to remain harmful
You will be micromanaged like it’s nobody’s business and made to feel awful about yourself. DO NOT WORK HERE.

An Overall Toxic Work Environment
KXLF and KBZK was once a top starter market stop. Talent was going there and then shooting up to top 50 markets. Then it all changed and became all about two has-beens, John Sherer and Donna Kelley. They did nothing, no one went to top markets and the parent company crumbled away. It has a new parent company now and potential to get back to what it used to be.
This one might be good again. It depends on what direction Scripps goes with it.
