Dionne Young
In her short time, Dionne Young has created an extremely hostile work environment where sexual harassment and discrimination are the norm and workplace mistreatment often obstructs productivity.
Racial Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, An Overall Toxic Work Environment
If you’re a male employee, run far away from this station. You’ll experience sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior and advances from one particular reporter/anchor. You can count on management to overlook it, even when it’s reported. Dionne will pit employees against each other and lie about the workplace environment for her own benefit. Whether you’ve been at the station for over a year, or just a couple months, it doesn’t matter. Everyone wants to quit because of the poisonous behavior of management and certain employees. Even though Dionne is big and black, she only attacks people of color, if that tells you anything.
What makes things worse about KBAK is that you have a mentally unstable executive producer who takes out her own insecurities onto reporters, especially reporters of color. Hope you like being silenced because that’s what you get at this station if you report discrimination or harassment. The one thing you CAN count on is Dionne never failing to prove that she’s unfit for her job, gaslighting employees who point out discriminatory treatment and running to upper management at the first sign of any conflict. The station expects you to either put up, shut up or leave.

Toxic, unappreciative, kiss-ass
Sexual Harassment, An Overall Toxic Work Environment
The news staff at KBAK have created a perpetually toxic work environment where harassment will be overlooked, unprofessional behavior is justified, and hatred bubbles in its self-contained cauldron of toxicity.
Save yourself the time and energy. Apply elsewhere, somewhere that will appreciate you.

Dionne Young
The director can be very passive-aggressive, favors producers and doesn't know how to handle conflict.
An Overall Toxic Work Environment
Not the worst station you could work for, however, the work environment is extremely toxic and having a passive-aggressive director does not help. There's a reason why people leave and most reporters are unhappy (except for the few favorites). If you have an option for another station, definitely take it. Not worth your time.
