About
I didn't start in a newsroom. I started by trusting my instincts.
As a young mother, I knew something was wrong with my infant daughter. I was told not to worry, that what I was seeing was normal. But instinct said otherwise. I went to the library, found the medical texts, and within minutes identified the condition doctors had dismissed. That moment changed my daughter's outcome and revealed something fundamental about me.
I know how to ask questions, trust what I see, and find answers when they are not handed to me. That instinct led me to journalism.
